GoCar Malaysia is a car sharing platform that allows its members to rent cars by the hour or day using the GoCar smartphone application. GoCar works on a membership basis, where all members are part of our car sharing community. What do I need to be a GoCar member?
To be a GoCar member, you must be between 19 to 75 years old with a valid
1) Driver’s license
2) Credit/debit card
3) Malaysian OR International phone number
4) A one-time membership fee of RM10 will be charged to your card on your first booking.
If you’re not a Malaysian citizen, please upload your passport, International Driving Permit and driving license upon signing up. Please note that GoCar reserves the right to decline applications that do not meet certain requirements. For full details, refer to our Member Terms & Conditions.

How do I sign up for GoCar?
To sign up for a new account, download the latest version of the GoCar app the on Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Make sure you meet our membership requirements. It takes less than 5 minutes to complete the application process.
Launch the app and tap on the three-line icon on the top left of the screen to reveal the sidebar.
1) Select “Login”.
2) Select “Register” at the bottom of the screen to sign up for a new GoCar account.
3) Enter your name (as per your driver’s license and/or passport), email address, and a valid mobile number of any country that is contactable. Then, set a password.
4) use Referral Code wgsANg to enjoy RM20 off your first GoCar reservation
5) Upload a photo of your driver’s license. For non-Malaysian citizens, please upload a photo of your passport along. Make sure the photo clearly shows the details on your driver’s license and/or passport.
6) Then, select your area and enter your current address.
7) Tap “Submit”.
8) Wait for a 4-digit verification code via SMS. Enter the verification code to complete the registration process.
9) Please wait for your account to be verified within 12 to 24 hours.
10) Once your account is approved, you will receive a confirmation email.
Once your GoCar account has been approved, you can proceed to login and make your first GoCar booking. The one-time RM10 membership fee (non-refundable) will only be charged when you make your first reservation. There’ll be no booking fee or security deposits for every GoCar reservation made. Can I register using an international mobile number?
Yes, we now accept all mobile numbers (local and international) to register as a GoCar member for your convenience
Do I need an international driving licence to drive GoCar?
If you do not have one, you still able sign up with your driver’s licence from the country of origin provided that it is english and have 2 years of validity. Having said this, all drivers’ licence are subject to approval. GoCar reserves the right to refuse any registration.
Where is this GOCAR service available?
